A shared dream, story of a Winery
The dream of a new way of working, and of joining forces for greater security, to broaden the scope of the business and fittingly promote the fruit of so much effort, wine.
This is the dream which came true in October 1955 at Nizza Monferrato, where a group of visionaries realised that by coming together in a cooperative, wine-growers could build something new and improve their conditions in a tough, uncertain industry.
The Cantina Sociale, or Cooperative Winery, of Nizza Monferrato was founded to raise awareness of "Nizza wine", the town, and the people who had sacrificed so much for it. Just a couple of years later there were already 200 members. Becoming one of the soundest organisations in the sector in Piedmont, in the Seventies it began to modernise its installations and wine-making techniques.br>
Our new challenges
From simply selling to large bottling concerns, we are switching to a new focus on small consumers, wine connoisseurs and wine tourists. So we now have modern systems for dispensing bulk wines and a high-tech tasting room, as well as a traditional ageing room, fragrant with the oak wood of the old casks that have held half a century's vintages. Not to mention production of bottle-aged wines strictly selected right from the vineyard: we have 550 hectares, cultivated with the greatest respect for the environment and thus for the vines.

VISITING HOURS
From monday to friday: 8:00 - 12:30 / 14:30 - 18:30.
Saturday: 9:00 - 12:30 / 15:00 - 18:30.
Sunday: 10:00 - 12:00.
Open on the 3rd Sunday of the month from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 15:00 to 18:30 on the occasion of the Antiques Market.
Closed: Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, in January and August.
